Today I have to map out more knitting projects. Its the last weekend I have to do it before I’m behind in getting them done. Funny thing is for about three years now I’ve been meaning to finish these projects. This year however I have no room in my house for any new yarn so I have to get rid of some of this old stuff to make room for the new.

I’ve completed one scarf that I will give to someone, maybe a neighbor. It was merely a, “getting back in the groove” scarf so I’ve no real attachment to it.

Getting started is always the hardest part for me. I have to plan from yarn type to needle gauge what I want. Often I find myself casting ten or so stitches then knitting or pearling until i feel I’ve found what I like. I envy the people who just know when they see the yarn in the store what they need or what they’ll create. I on the other hand have to see it, agree with it, or pitch it away.

This years triumphs will be one mens scarf, four women scarves, an afghan, and for myself an extra bulky sweater for the winter and a pair of fingerless arm warmers.

Next year I’ll conquer the fear of gloves and socks.

In the meantime, give me all your unused yarn!!!!
